RMF is making a real difference to local communities.
Corporate social responsibility is embedded in everything that we do. RMF noticed a void in the construction industry for specialist competences training and how certain sections of their community were being systematically blocked in advancement of their careers in the industry.
Corporate Social Responsibility
RMF Training
RMF decided to train and equip individuals to the highest standards so they can have the same career opportunities as any other member of the community. RMF Training Academy CIC was created to work with the following communities:
- Ex-offenders
- Ex-Military Personal
- Minority groups, (for the construction sectors this would be females, people with disabilities and BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic).
- Long Term Unemployed
From its beginning RMF has focused on pinpointing career opportunities within the community, partnering with employers, and aligning its training curriculum to provide ex-offenders with real opportunities for individual growth and long-term career expansion. Whether it was through specialist bespoke training programs or our mentoring support programs, RMF has always been at the forefront when it comes to workforce development.
Help people help themselves
More importantly, however, RMF has led the way, recognising that its mission to ‘help people help themselves’ is rooted in the moral endeavor to provide people with opportunities to overcome obstacles, to transcend tribulation, and to prosper through the hard work and dedication needed to succeed in new careers.
Through the hard work and dedication of our RMF Training Academy team we have created an Employment Academy in partnership with HMP Hewell and Milton Keynes College and are duly mentioned and endorsed with Good practice on the Dame Sally Cotes report on Unlocking Potential.
